End of Geulah Perspectives

I have decided to erase this blog. It has taken up too much of my time and emotion. I realized that we need to live in the present and stop thinking about the future. It does not truly do us too much good. Personally, it has distracted me from my life and has caused me to be less effective as a human being. I would like to move past this, and I encourage others to do so as well.

I believe this decision is a good one. No offense but you discuss issues that are way above what you should be delving into; clearly way above where you are holding in terms of age, etc.
There are accomplished Talmedei Chachamim - Torah Scholars who don't feel qualified to discuss the topics you do.
A person who discusses these topics has to be a certain age or of an extremely high caliber of learning; for years and years.
Continue with your good work.

i'm going to miss your Torah thoughts. You are one of my favorites. sigh....
But I totally understand your viewpoint, just hope to find other blogs to replace your Torah. thanks for having such high standards in the past. Can you leave it up and empty? so when you have new music to share, you can let us know this way?

Ari,

May HaShem bless you. I encourage you to rethink your position on thinking about the future. Consider the words of HaShem through the prophets: "Behold days are coming..." (particularly Yirmeyahu 31:31).

A gentile who has enjoyed listening to your perspective,

Ari,

With all due respect, for someone who has preached selflessness - this seems to be a very selfish move. Your hasagot come from elsewhere and it is not your place nor your decision to communicate what has come to you. You have been chosen to convey some info and G-D will find someone else if you quit. It is about get far more difficult as the nesira picks up a notch this week. You've been careful to qualify your "hasagot" as "conjecture" while also avoiding doomsday predictions.

G-D and Yoseph have been smiling.

This blog has made you more effective as a human being whether you can see it or not. All you need to do is touch one person and give him faith and a yearning for the "future" which we are commanded to do - now more than ever! There is no present without the future and vice versa. Your logic is backwards and for that reason clearly from the other side.

Finally, this was a very risky move for yourself given an already loyal following. You don't know who is reading your blog and if you did know - I can assure you that you'd be surprised. For now, if I were you I'd compose a final Moshiach 10 podcast and take a break until rosh chodesh av - you and I know both know why.

May G-D give you the strength and chochma to listen to your "inner" voice and continue fighting the wars of G-D, Amen.

With unconditional love,
Joe

I see this as a positive reaction, a natural reaction to what is happening in the world right now.. This is the decision someone makes who sees what is coming and realizes, "I need to pay attention!" You're right! We need to live in the present and stop being obsessed with the future. We are moving quickly along spiritual tributaries. Every day trials, learning, enlightenment and t'shuva. There are smaller streams we get pulled into - off to the side - that are of great importance as far as information is concerned but to remain there is a drain of our practical and holy productiveness. Distraction is a tool of the yetzer hara. How many hours can we sit in front of a screen reading(or writing) about t'shuva, Geula and redemption? For me, obviously too many. The world is OUT THERE waiting for US and our real life, practical struggles as sincere, righteous seekers of the way back to the Main Artery of sweet, pure water. Kol Havod Ari!

Our perspectives change.
It takes courage to identify , to correct; to change our pathways.
I am grateful for ( although I don't fully know to what extent ) the time, and effort you put into this blog to share it with your fellow brothers and sisters around the world.
Most of all, I appreciate the quality, and depth that characterize your blog.
It is my hope that Hashem repay you for your dedication, and enthusiasm for Mashiach by putting an end to all conjectures, and reveal the reality of G-d's glory for you and all of Klal Yisroel soon.

I will be sorry to see you go, yet I also am wondering what your thoughts were right before you made your decision...? Willing to share a bit more on your decision or am I being to personal?

Thinking about the future brings inspiration to live the present with happiness and joy. Don't give up writing about Moshiach, because Moshiach didn't give up on you. ;)

Mr. Goldwag I would like to say I have found your teachings and music very informative and enjoyable.
Good luck and best wishes to you on everything you will do in the future.

Ari,

As much as this decision of yours disappoints me (and I'm sure most of your loyal following), you obviously know better than we do about the necessity to close down your blog. To that extant, I (and I'm sure many others) support your decision.

However, if I may say so, I believe that your erasing all previous entries did more harm than good. There have been many incredible insights that I have seen on this blog, and not all of them have to do with Mashiach--some of them were just, IMHO, excellent divrei Torah. I can understand if you feel the need to no longer add to your blog; however, is there any reason you have to make all of your previous entries inaccessible to those who wish to look back at them? Please, even if you no longer update your blog, at least restore your previous posts so that those who wish to, can go back and learn from them some more.
