Yisro - With One Heart
What is the depth of the idea that the Jewish people received the Torah at Sinai as 'one person, with one heart?' How does one achieve this level of camaraderie? Where do we see that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts? Why was there a deeper acceptance of the Torah in the time of the story of Purim? How is Purim greater than Yom Kippur? Why does the Torah command a Jew not to give his Jewish slave unnecessary work? Why were the spies punished for the 40 days they traversed Israel and not just for the act of speaking negatively at the end of their journey? How does one properly honor one's parents and ones friends?
