Chayei Sarah - Spiritual Roots

Why does Avraham reject the daughters of Aner, Eshkol and Mamrei, even though they are righteous? Why does he send Eliezer back to his own family, if they seem to be far from righteous? What is the concept of Baruch-blessed as opposed to Arur-cursed? Why are Haman and Amalek referred to as cursed if they come from the progeny of Yitzchak and Rivkah?

Find out in this week's parsha podcast.

Running time: 18:16

Hello,

I listened to a couple of your Parsha Podcasts, and I didn't notice you quoting any sources. Was I just not paying enough attention, or are the podcasts mostly your own ideas?

When I am quoting a source, I try to say where it is from. Many of the ideas are my own original ideas. Sometimes I will say the source is from 'the sages.' this means that I don't remember where it's from, but is classic chazal, most likely found in Rashi or other commentaries I have seen over the years.
