Kedoshim - Holiness and Lishma
What is the concept of Holiness? Why are we enjoined to be holy because 'Hashem is Holy?' What is the idea that everything in reality is an expression of Hashem? How does one emulate Hashem's pure altruism?
Once again, an excellent teaching. This lesson on holiness is sort of an extension on the teaching you had on unconditional love. It is so true that holiness can only be achieved through relationship with Hashem. When we are aware of His constant showering of blessings in our every day experience, we can then share that with others. Naturally, the ego is constantly intruding on our selfless altruism. Hopefully, with Hashem's assistance we will be able to walk the path of holiness, which is the way He wants us to walk. Thanks!
