The difference between daat and keter is a lot like the concept in quantum physics that says that things exist in a cloud of probabilities until they are observed, at which point they collapse into a single one of those possibilities.

In this analogy, keter is akin to the cloud of probabilities, which contains all possible outcomes (at least so far as we can ascertain), and daat is the collapsed wave function, which is static and limited.

In this case, however, I don't think that each and every one of us can be considered the sort of observer who changes keter into daat. If that were true, the fact that there are any number of people out there pondering the time of Mashiach's coming would ensure that he never comes, which is counter to Hashem's plan.

It seems to me that the observer can only be all of Klal Yisrael, and not any one individual.

Taking down your blog won't prevent others from thinking about "Is this a sign of Mashiach?" What it may do, though I hope it won't, is reduce the awareness among our people that there is a tachlit. That our history and everything we're living through has a plan and a purpose and an endgame.

I hope you'll reconsider. Even if you don't post, I think that removing your blog would be more negative than positiveLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18104724066252254654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-951674360307150124.post-71214975160414706282011-07-20T21:22:46.151+03:002011-07-20T21:22:46.151+03:00I heard Rav Matis Weinberg make this point about 1...I heard Rav Matis Weinberg make this point about 15 years ago in a parsha shiur on Bo.
So true.BlackBeltStephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10449874015115985110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-951674360307150124.post-84047056210650838642011-07-19T17:06:26.505+03:002011-07-19T17:06:26.505+03:00Ari, I also believe it is a mistake to take down y...Ari, I also believe it is a mistake to take down your blog. Learn as you must - However, what one learns should be given over to others and not kept to yourself.

You have done a wonderful job of giving over - please do not stop. Just manage your study time to "so many hours" without interupption.

Also, the Rebbe wrote a Maamar on Anticipating the Redemption. http://www.sichosinenglish.org/books/anticipating-redemption-1/index.html

Our every moment should be living Torah - 24/7. We should have moshiach and the rebuilding of the Beis Hamkidash ever before us. In fact, the Rebbe told his students to study everything about the Temple during the 3 weeks as it will be as if you built the Temple yourself.Tidbits of Torahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01064258824492926896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-951674360307150124.post-69408605033614850312011-07-19T08:10:19.874+03:002011-07-19T08:10:19.874+03:00I have received much knowledge and encouragement f...I have received much knowledge and encouragement from your teaching and music. Bottom line you ...Dear ari thank you for that post. Bottom line you may be right OR you maybe wrong. Hashem wants an arousal from below we cannot just sit back and wait....thats what has been done for years and does not work. Proactivity is paramount BUT when it starts to mess up with your live and relationships on a daily level its time to sit back, be less vocal but stay tuned. This has happened to me. Now I keep the fire burning but on a lower key and more on a one to one. There are a bunch of us out there that know nothing about one another but there is something that connects us all..Shirat Deborah, Mystical Paths etc etc its like the movie close encounters only its not a mountain or aliens that we feel but the Ruach of Mashiach that is hovering close by. Dont throw the baby out with the bathwater, take a rest, unwind and soon you will level out. We love you Ari, thats Klal Israel and these as you well know are special times.Gibbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04807864781273795822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-951674360307150124.post-66652145425594050252011-07-19T00:57:15.000+03:002011-07-19T00:57:15.000+03:00But maybe, you could write a line or two. Don't you feel yourself lifting us out of this tawdry world and taking us with you when you teach us? I think I have spent enough time learning how to be base from base people. This place is full of people who find their entertainment in the misery of other peoples' beaten down and tattered souls.
They think it is funny to watch peoples' lives un-wind on them.
This blog gave me anyway, a place where I had power AND know-how to make big change happen in my life. When the rest of my life is just fodder for the grist-mill.
Oh, but don't let me hold you back from stopping. Because really, you were my source of insight.
